To The Pompous Dog Owners.

Just because your dog is a pedigree does not make it better than mine. My rescue dogs will more than likely outlive your dog and whilst your pedigree is genetically limited, mine are a fantastic and unique fusion of all the best parts of all the breeds.

And just because my dogs are on leads, straining madly in an attempt to say hello and yours limply trots beside you freely, don't think less of them or look down on them. They're puppies.

So refrain from the snarky comments, tone down the judging eyes, by choosing to rescue two puppies from a shelter rather than buy from some breeder, I've given two animals a second chance. Your haughty pompousness is stifling when you walk past whilst I smile openly in greeting. I am not just a woman with mongrels.

You are NOT superior to me.

So don't ignore me when I say hello.
Your dogs don't; they could teach you something.

Introducing Emmeline the Dog

So it appears I seem to have succumbed to that most rare of online resources of publishing, the blog. It pains me slightly to be oh so rogue and nomadic on this unknown frontier, but I've made the executive decision to not give a damn, and write and photograph the things I love most in life, however un-exciting and banal they maybe.

A blog that not only condones, but applauds a lifestyle choice more commonly preferred by the mid-fifty somethings or retired, but in my case an early-twenty-nothing. I'm referring of course, to that illustrious and most glorified of past times, the great outdoors of the country, accompanied by the faithful man's (and woman's) best friend, a dog. Naturally.

And thus, here it is. A documentation of my photographic endeavours and literary pursuits. The subject revolving around my home life and the vintage.

Enjoy.
